Kelley Cox, President and Director or Phillips Wharf Environmental Center will be speaking for us! She is a Marine Biologist who has worked with various Chesapeake Bay Programs for over 15 years. Kelely has a strong appreciation for the life of the working watermen on the Bay as she is part of a five generation family of watermen who lived and died on the Chesapeake Bay. It is through her love for science and her family’s legacy of watermen that Phillips Wharf was found. Kelley will be presenting on their programs and how they help others understand how the daily decisions we make each day can impact the Bay.
We have Patti Capri from Choptank Closets coming to speak to us this day. In addition, we are asking everyone to look in their closets and see what gently used clothes they have for work/dressier items that you could swap or donate to local charity. Since our mission is to help women going back to school, this is a perfect opportunity to provide some kind of business items that will help them in their pursuit.
